Jake and John Taft founded JT Electric in 2016.
History/ Background
Jake Taft
(JT)
got started in the industry right out of high school working as an apprentice electrician for GSL Electric. Jake worked in the field gaining valuable experience for three years before serving a full time LDS Church mission. After his mission, he worked as a drafter/designer for six years while putting himself through college where he studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Utah. Jake graduated in 2005 and worked as a lead designer until he was promoted to the engineering department manager at GSL in 2008. In 2009, Jake got his PE license in the state of Utah and now holds 9 other PE licenses in the western states. Jake oversaw the entire Design Build effort of GSL until he started his own company in 2016 - JT Electric.
Where We Work
Our main office is in Salt Lake City Utah. We are full service Electrical contractor with expansive knowledge and deep roots in the commercial, industrial markets. Our primary focus is on design build projects where we offer full in-house turn key engineering and design services. We have a strong team mentality and know that we will only succeed if we work together.
